Blind Date Gone So, So Good: Wedding Edition

filed in

Once upon a time, the sweetest, most carefree people ever were set up on a blind date…and just a few weeks ago September 21st,  those two people tied the knot in what was by far the most beautiful backyard wedding I’ve ever seen!

Allie and CJ were set up by some friends who obviously knew what they were doing. I mean, just look at adorable these two are together! From the moment I first arrived at CJ’s parents home, where the wedding was taking place, I knew that the day was going to be amazing. CJ was just SO excited to marry Allie, it made my heart scream with happiness! I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count how many times he asked how Allie was doing…if she was okay, if she was excited…all the cute little things that you’d dream your groom would be concerned about. I simply love how much CJ loves Allie!

Allie was just as excited as CJ was, although I think she cried a few more happy tears than he did! But no matter what the day threw at them, Allie was so low-key and happy and gentle natured. The day she had dreamed about and planned for was finally here, and she was soaking in every moment of it.

Everything about their wedding day was totally them and totally amazing. The bridal party was so laid back and fun to work with, and their families were so warm and welcoming. CJ’s mom kept telling me, “I’m just so happy because I feel like they’re already married and Allie is already my daughter and today we’re just partying!” It was definitely one big, happy party…complete with tacos and churros for dinner!! YOU GUYS. If you know me, you know that I would literally kill for tacos and churros, and that I would eat them every second of the day if I could. Plus, their signature cocktail was a “Dirty Shirley”, which is one of my absolute go to drinks. Allie and CJ were definitely my kind of couple!!

Also, can we just take a moment and talk about how cute their fur baby, Doc, is? Allie and CJ are the cutest doggy parents, and I’m now a firm believer that fur children should always have a place in the bridal party lineup. (Check out Doc trying to steal the show during Allie and CJ’s engagement photos by clicking here.)

I’m so excited for these two wonderful people to start their life together. It’s been the greatest honor to play a part in your story, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
