MEET THE DRAKES

August 8th, 2020 Alli and Cody FINALLY were able to say “I DO!” in front of all their closest friends and family. You might recognize these two sweet souls from their Coarsegold engagement session last summer. We were originally suppose to celebrate these two in May, but once again thanks to our friend Rona; we had to wait until this last weekend to officially celebrate. As much as we did not want to postpone; I think it is safe to say it was well worth the wait!!

Alli and Cody stole my heart away last summer when we shot their engagement session. Their genuine personalities and the BIG love they share for one another just melts me. I was SO excited to bring my husband Chris along to this wedding as my second shooter because I just knew he was going to fit right in with Cody and his friends. And boy was I right, one of Cody’s groomsmen would not stop until he got Chris on the dance floor at the end of the night; it was GREAT!

As Chris and I were driving down to Alli and Cody’s wedding; I told him I’m so excited for this one!! He asked me what made this couple so special? I told him ALL my couples were so beyond special; but there was something about how in love these two were that grabbed my heart from the start. He said “yeah, yeah” in his typical Chris fashion but I warned him…. I said you tell me you cannot see how absolutely crazy Cody is about Alli and I’ll give you 50 bucks. All I can say is THANK YOU CODY for making me $50.00 richer LOL he sealed the bet when it was his time to say “I Do” during the ceremony. His voice cracked so loudly that their officiant had to stop and ask “was that Alli or Cody?” talk about a crowd of people all laughing and crying at the same time. Chris won’t admit it, but I even saw him wipe away a tear 😉

All in all this day could not have been more beautiful, or more “Alli & Cody”. From the start of the day until the end; it never ever felt as if we were ‘working’. It felt like we were watching some of our closest friends commit to forever. Watching these two finally become one was the BEST DAY EVER! I cannot wait for all the little Drake babies and to continue to watch our new friends grow in this world as one. We love you both so much, and cannot wait to see you again soon.
