Yesterday’s engagement session took things to a whole new level! Fall colors are starting to show their face in Yosemite, and I could not be more here for it!! It truly amazes me how much one location can change so much during a short period of time. It definitely keeps the creative juices inside me flowing at full speed.

Shania and Dylan came up from Porterville and made a mini v-cay out of their trip. They actually rented a little airbnb in my little small town of Coarsegold and meet me before the sun was up to adventure throughout Yosemite together. It was so cool to hear about their experience of growing up in a small little farming town. I love hearing what it was like for others to grow up in similar situations as Chris and I did.

Can I just say for one minute how excited I am to be the one who gets to photograph these two’s wedding next fall?! Dylan had been trying to plan an epic proposal for Shania but our near and dear friend COVID kept ruining his plans. He originally was going to pop the question on a vacation they had planned to Hawaii!! When that got canceled, he then decided Yosemite was the next best thing; but he could not land a reservation to get into the park. So instead of waiting, Dylan tricked Shania into thinking they were taking one his buddy’s out to one of their favorite spots (Dome Rock) because his friend had never been there before. Shania thought it was just going to be a normal day, testing out their new drone when Dylan surprised her and got down on one knee. It was seriously the sweetest story, and the pictures and videos on their Instagram totally melted my heart. These two are the real deal, and I am sooooo happy to welcome them into the Charolette Williams Bride Family.
