When Liz first reached out last year about me photographing her wedding I was beyond excited. The excitement was high because this was going to be a “local” wedding. Liz actually went to school with my little sister, so I knew this was going to be a huge celebration with so many amazing people celebrating her and Alex.

I first met Liz and Alex in Yosemite, at their sunrise glacier point engagement session. I knew right then and there just how special they were. Alex is a true gentleman! The way he looked at Liz and cared for her really spoke to me. Fast forward to a few months before their big day, with all the crazy COVID madness… Alex and Liz decided to move their big day to Bandit Town USA in North Fork, CA. I was sooooo excited about this change. I have driven by Bandit Town countless times, but have never been. I knew it was going to be such a cute place for this special day!

As many of my locals know, we have been battling some thick smoke in our mountain communities due to the Creek Fire. I will not lie, this made me a tad bit nervous for how these wedding photos might turn out, but honestly it was PERFECT. The smoky air gave this sweet day such a cool autumn feel. You would never be able to tell we were sweating our booty’s off LOL

It was such an honor to be a part of such a beautiful day full of love, laughter and happy ever afters. SOOO many people showed up to celebrate Liz and Alex there was standing room only during the ceremony. It was such a beautiful thing to see living in the times we currently live in.

I cannot wait to see Liz and Alex’s marriage blossom over the years and to hopefully photograph lots of little Gutierrez babies 😉
