There is just something about the sunny spring time season that does it for me. The greens, the blooming flowers they all speak straight to my heart; BUT THIS FAMILY YALL!! Ughh. They were an absolute dream to work with!!!

Jocelyn reached out to me about capturing some special pop corn flower photos a few months ago, but what she failed to mention was how gosh darn perfect her family was. [[especially Ruby and Dottie]]. I may or may not be partial, but families with red heads are always the BEST families.

Outdoor family sessions are always some of my favorite sessions to capture. I always have my few “go to” locations to make epic photos with. BUT I love it SO much when my clients use their private property or a location with a special meaning to them. It allows for me to get creative! As a result, it also will have be that much more special when your images are hanging on your wall. The Satterfield-Allen crew did just that and used Ruby and Dottie’s grandma and pops property in Raymond, California. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!!

This sunny spring time family session reminded me so much why we LOVE the area we choose to raise our babies in. The natural beauty will never get old.

Can we ALSO take a minute to discuss why its so much fun to do TWO outfits at your family session?? I absolutely love the outcome it gives my clients in their galleries. I know, I know some mamas are probably reading this thinking I have lost my darn mind because planning one outfit alone is stressful BUT hear me out. You do not have to go buy two new outfits, if you want to have at it friend; but it is definitely not necessary!

I think it is so fun to have a casual outfit (something already in your closets) paired with a more dressed up look (which can also still be in your closets). It gives your full gallery more images and allows for you to have more options for wall prints, gifts for grandparents and all of our favorites… social media sharing (am I right?!) 10 out of 10 recommend it! If you don’t believe me…. keep on a scrollin’ to see what I am talking about 😉
